The new OBD2 v4 Chip Box is our newest, most universal and sophisticated chip box available on the market. The OBD2 v4 uses a fast and efficient 20 MHz microprocessor with a build-in flash memory containing a 3D map called the ignition Map.
After the installation, the OBD2 v4 communicates with the car’s computer (ECU) through the OBD2 CAN BUS and adjusts appropriate parameters from the Flash memory. It does not change the original ECU map.
To establish a proper communication between the Chip Box OBD2 v4 and the car’s ECU, it is crucial that the diagnostic port OBD2 in the car needs to be equipped with the Can-Bus which means at least 8 pins.

Connect the black 9 pin plug connector in to the OBD2 v4 device and secure it with the screws. Locate your OBD2 diagnostic port. Usually it can be found at the driver’s side under the steering wheel. If you are not able to locate it, you can check in the car’s manual. Connect the OBD2 v4 Chip Box’s 16 pin connector to the diagnostic port in the car.
Make sure it’s firmly attached. Proper connection should be indicated by turning on the LED lights on the Chip box. The signaling of the LEDs may differ depending on the car brand, year of manufacture and ECU drivers type. Insert the key to the ignition and turn it to the ON/AAC position, but do not start the engine yet.
Now press and hold the reset button for about 5 sec. It is located on the top of the circuit board. After releasing the button, please wait for about 30-60 sec so that the Chip box will establish a stable communication with the ECU.
Start up the engine and enjoy driving. The OBD2 v4 chip box from that moment will start to adjust itself to your driving habits. It will take approximately 150 to 200 km to improve your car’s fuel economy and performance.
